Wandering lonely astronaut on the wreckage of civilization

Scott Listfield is an American artist known for his paintings in the pop-surrealist genre.

His melancholic canvases depict a lonely astronaut-researcher in post-apocalyptic landscapes, cluttered with symbols of pop culture and corporate emblems.

Wandering lonely astronaut on the wreckage of civilization | Scott Listfield is confident that his generation, who grew up on the films of Lukas and Kubrick, should have been in the reality of accessible space, and not the Trump presidency.

It seems that Listfield’s astronaut is a character from a post-nuclear future. In fact, the artist depicts the present, and the lonely lost astronaut wandering in the abandoned world is himself and we.

  1. Is strange, so far Trump is withdrawing actually troops and getting peace in the Koreas. I didn’t agree with his choice in reference to Iran but anyway… I think now the easy is not see reality but politics.
