The winners of the LensCulture 2017 street photography contest

The jury of the photo contest LensCulture Street Photography Awards selected the winners of 2017. Contestants from 139 countries sent their best street photos.

The last decade was marked by an explosion of popularity of street photography. Organizers of this photo contest tried to select among the best those shots that reflect the most interesting approach to modern street shooting.

The judges named 37 finalists, winners in the categories “Photo Series” and “Single Image”, and also noted some works as “jury selection”.

Finalist. “Who brings the cold weather ?,” he asked me, “Jesus?” I met Ioannis in the winter when it was terribly cold outside. He was homeless with sick legs. We talked with him several times, and I saw him every day sitting on a bench in front of the bus station. He slept there at night. Then he suddenly disappeared.
