Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu appointed 26-year-old Russia television journalist Rossiyana Markovskaya as her spokesperson . According to her, the order of appointment was signed on November 15. Markovskaya will work as a press secretary for the Defense Minister, while Igor Konashenkov remains director of the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Defense Ministry.
Markovskaya was born on January 6, 1991. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Journalism of the Far Eastern Federal University. Her record includes the work of a TV presenter and a correspondent. Prior to her appointment to the Ministry of Defense, she worked as a correspondent for the Zvezda channel.
